A helper scans it
Everyone is alerted
Only the code and “Lost? Scan to alert my family” are printed, with “Emergency? Call 911”. The name shows after a scan, unless you print it. A scan opens the first name, your message, “Their family has been alerted”, a tap-to-call 911 link and buttons to video or voice call, write or share where they are. Your numbers never show.
You get every alert. Each person you add gets them too, once they accept your invite: with the free iQR Alerts app, a notification, and a video or voice call rings them; without it, a text where texts are on, otherwise an email, with a link to the chat. Calls need someone on your list with the app.
Neither. A child safety wristband with a code has no battery and no tracker: it works when someone scans it. If the helper taps Share where you are and allows location, you see where they are.
Yes. Write it for whoever finds them: “I’m Walter. I may be confused. Please call my daughter Sarah.” Put the daughter and the care home on the list. As an emergency contact bracelet, it never shows their numbers.
Only if you turn them on: allergies, conditions, medications, changed any time. It is not a registered medical-ID service, with no registry or 24-hour line behind it, so keep any medical ID a doctor has advised.
Yes. Make one band per person and turn on “Just for one trip or event”: after the last day, a scan only says the band has expired. Print strips, shoe tags or backpack cards at home; 10 wristbands are free. Unlike an engraved kids ID bracelet, you can change it any time.
