Questions about editable QR codes
What makes a QR code dynamic?
The code points at an iQR address, and that address forwards to your link. Change the destination and every printed copy follows. A static code has the link baked into the pattern; if you want a QR code that can be changed, it has to be dynamic from the start.
Can I change the link after it is printed?
Yes. Edit the destination and the next scan goes to the new page. You change QR code links in your dashboard, and the sticker, the sign or the card stays exactly as printed.
What do the scan stats show?
How many scans, when they happened, the city they came from and the kind of device. A trackable QR code counts scans, never people: none of it identifies the person scanning. iQR does not sell or share what you collect.
Does the code work with any link?
Almost any web address works: a listing, a menu, a form, a video, a store page. Short links (like bit.ly) and websites less than a month old show a “You’re about to visit…” page first. Other iQR codes can host a whole page or all your profiles for you instead.
Is it really free, and does it ever expire?
One dynamic link code is free with a free account, with no trial and no scan limit, and it keeps working as long as your account does. You can also try one without an account: that preview works for 48 hours, and signing in keeps the same code.
What stops someone from using a code to send people somewhere unsafe?
Every address is checked against a list of known phishing sites when it is saved and again when someone scans. A preview made without an account, and every code from an account in its first 3 days, shows the address before opening it, and every page we show has a link to report a problem.
